This is the Leckey Contoured Advance, found at sammonspreston.com under seating. This is a high-lo, tilt-in-space, completely adjustable chair. Johnathan was 49 pounds when we got it, typical size of a 7 year old, and should be able to stay in it thru his teen years. This is everything a parent of a quad needs in a wheelchair..HINT HINT to any inventors.

Johnathan has an 80 degree curve of scoliosis and can't sit in any seating system without falling over, sliding down and then literally not being able to be strapped in due to the feeding tube and or baclofen pump getting caught in straps or his head getting lost under any headrest.

With this chair, the trunk supports are adjusted to straighten his spine, contour to his body and place him in the best position necessary for function. We still have floppy head issues, but I know I could tilt him more and stop that...he just likes sitting up, not lying back, so I am trying to teach him in position he feels most comfortable. With 2 switch scanning, we are making progress.

Just an FYI for all docs, parents, therapists, etc, for my DME and their vendor had never seen this chair and I know it is a must for any quad, or floppy toned child.
